Fire Department Entry Level Testing
The Laramie Fire Department
will establish an eligibility list for entry level Firefighters
for positions that may arise in the future. Applications are available
and should be mailed to the Laramie Fire Department, Attention:
Lori Stalder, P.O. Box C, Laramie , WY 82073, or delivered to the
Laramie Fire Department at 209 S. 4th Street , Laramie , WY , or
faxed to (307)721-5333. Applications must be received by Friday, July 24, 2009, at 4:00p.m. in order to participate in the testing process. Questions
may be directed to Lori Stalder at the Fire Department at (307)
721-5334. Testing procedures are described below:
***ATTENTION***
The written test is being administered, on the University of Wyoming Campus in the Classroom Building, Room 133. Ninth Street between Grand Avenue and Lewis Street is closed due to construction. Please allow yourself extra time to park, find the building and the room. Doors will be locked at 5:00 p.m. on July 29th and at 9:00 a.m. on July 30th, no exceptions. 5:00 p.m. Written
Examination - 1st Session : Candidates may participate in either
the first or second session
of the Written Examination. The top candidates scoring 70% or higher on the written exam will be allowed to continue with the testing process. Doors open one hour prior to testing!

9:00 a.m. Written

Physical
Agility Test : The CPAT is a physically demanding pass/fail test. The candidates who successfully complete the physical agility test will be scheduled for an oral interview.
Location: LFD Training Facility, 2451 County Shop Rd. Take Hwy. 287 South of Laramie, right on Blackfoot St. Right on County Shop Rd.
Sunday/Monday, August 2 & 3, 2009
Oral
Interviews : Interviews will be approximately thirty minutes each. The candidates who successfully complete the oral interview board process will be placed on the eligibility list. We will try to make accommodations for those individuals from out of town to go first.
Location: LFD Station II Conference Room, 1558 N. 23rd St.
NOTE: Any eligible candidate selected for an available
position will be required to pass a medical examination, including
a drug screen.
