POLICE INVESTIGATE FELONY VANDALISM, ARSON, BURGLARY
On Friday, March 16th, the Laramie Police Department responded to two businesses in the 100 block of Grand Avenue that had been burglarized, vandalized and victimized by arson, possibly in an attempt to cover up evidence of the crimes committed or for personal reasons unknown to police at this time.
Sometime during the early morning hours, someone broke into both the Palatium Styling Salon and Coal Creek Coffee Roastery, located on Grand Avenue in Laramie, Wyoming. Once inside, the suspect vandalized both businesses, stole computer equipment, and then started small fires in an attempt to destroy one or both businesses. Damage to the businesses was excessive both in vandalism as well as items taken.
Among items that can possibly be tracked and identified are two computers. They are both Apple IMAC G5’s with serial numbers, SW87013XWVUX and W447291PNYG5. One or both computers may have been held by the suspects, pawned, sold privately or end up for auction on an Internet site like E-Bay. Other items to watch for that may be identified are a yellow hand truck/cart and a bag of hand tools.
At this time, there are no suspects, but it is likely that someone in the downtown area saw or heard something when this crime occurred, knows who did this or can identify certain stolen items, like the computers.
If you have information about this crime, you could earn a cash reward of up to $1,000.00. You do not have to give your name and all information is kept strictly confidential. Please help the Laramie Police Department by calling CRIMESTOPPERS today at 742-CARE (742-2274).
